Flora Umukoro – Co-Owner & Vice President
Flora is a dedicated and highly driven Leadership and Management graduate, and also holds a Masters degree in Organization Leadership with a major in Human Resource Management. Flora is a member of Society for Human Resource Management of America (SHRM), a member of American Association of Professional Women (AAPW), and a member of California Federation of Business and Professional Women (CFBPW).
Flora developed a flair for helping and giving the aged the love and attention they deserve through one of the leadership courses she attended in college, “Developing Leadership, Knowledge, and Skills to address the Challenges and Opportunities of a Diverse Aging Society”, by American Society of Aging (ASA). This led her into establishing a home care agency that could show love and peace of mind to the aging seniors in the society, since many elderly people have no one to care and love them during this transition in their lives.
Flora believes that empowering seniors through a comprehensive senior support system like Home Care Assistance will definitely change the way the seniors age. Having someone help with basic tasks makes all the difference between a comfortable easy life and a tiring, painful one. Therefore, providing these seniors with quality care at home will enable them to age gracefully and live a happier and healthier life.
Fortune Hughes – Operations / Client Care Manager
Fortune received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science and thereafter went on to excel in the corporate world of data storage technologies and networks. Her innate drive to help others led her to leave the corporate world and return to school to attain a degree in the health industry. Fortune graduated with a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration and is currently working on her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Neuropsychotherapy. She understands from her professional experiences the challenges that the aging population face (neurologically and physically) both through the natural aging process as well as through chronic illness and injury. She also understands the emotional stress that this places on the loved ones.
Fortune is dedicated to using her personal and professional experience to help the aging population and their families with Home Care Assistance.
Sierra Holcomb – Employee Care Manager
Sierra has been involved in the health care industry for 15 years, with a passion. She began volunteering in local hospitals at the age of 15 with a dream to become a surgeon or a scrub nurse. After high school she went on to receive her Certified Nursing Assistant certification. She then began her career as a C.N.A. in local nursing homes and as a Home Health Aide. She loved the home health care field so much that she focused on that path. In 2008 she shifted to into office work and fell in love. In order to further assist her clients she obtained her Medical Assistant license in 2014. Sierra has great compassion for the elderly and her caregivers and loves to go out in the field to train her caregivers and the families if necessary. Sierra is dedicated to the health care industry and wants to help make a difference in the lives of the elderly and their loved ones.
